This bedroom began as a blank canvas in a new home. The home owner found this beautiful black and white fleur de lis quilt at Pottery Barn. It was the perfect starting point with its strong pattern, but the black and white left a lot of room for play. We chose the color palette of blue, white and gray to compliment the black and white without overwhelming it. The blue was the perfect accent wall and we chose the dark gray corners to tie together the light gray and deep blue.
The corner walls are handpainted to exactly replicate the graphic design in the bedding. It serves as a great transition for the change in wall color.
This bed was handmade by Roy Emery (Knoxville architect) from a similar design in Pottery Barn. By custom creating the bed, we were able to choose a matching gray suede for a padded headboard. Our favorite part are the fabulous drawers hidden underneath for extra storage!
